Although still stuck on the same 543 horsepower as the 2012 model, this year's edition is supposed to have better ride and handling and that's good when you consider it's one effing fast car.
Armed with the same twin-turbo, 3.8-Liter V6 engine, Nissan has tweaked the electronics on it to give you better throttle response.
How much better? Well, in the 0-60 miles per hour times, it has dropped from 2.8 seconds in 2012, to 2.7 seconds in the 2013 version. Yes, horsepower is the same, as is the torque at 465 lbs... but the car has a magnificent four-wheel drive system that hugs the road.
It also has faster response times in the mid and high-end thanks to the fuel injectors' metering out fuel flow.
Nissan says that the car has better handling: "After measuring the roll center of the GT-R when cornering and taking deflection of the bushes and tires into account, engineers have updated the suspension set-up with revisions to the dampers, springs and front anti-roll bar to lower the center of gravity."
It hugs the road! That's what that means! Speed and road hugging means it's even easier to get away from the cops! Though this blog is pretty damn sure they will know where you live as you might be the only one in your city with enough cash to own one.
God help me but I want to drive the 2013 Nissan GT-R - just once... to drive it and then lose my license. It might be worth it.
