The photo above is of a real Japanese toy made by the Bandai Co., Ltd. company back in the 1980's. Bandai is a Japanese toy and video game manufacturer and is the third-largest maker of toys after Mattel and Hasbro - in the world.
It is called the God-Jesus, and it is a Magic 8-ball... in other words, ask God-Jesus a question, shake him/she/it up, turn him over and read your answer.
This is indeed a robot brandishing a Christian cross.... which I would find weird, but the fact that one of the symbols of Christianity is a cross that Jesus Christ was crucified on is weird enough. The other symbol is a fish, which I'm pretty sure is based on the fact that in ancient times it was bad to state you were a Christian, so when meeting, one might draw a the top arch of the ichthys (Jesus fish) on the ground, and the other Gentileman would follow adding the second arch - thereby implying both were Christians and not Jews or Romans.
What has that got to do with the God-Jesus robot sold in Japan? Nothing. But it's good to learn something, isn't it? Oh... and God-Jesus did not know any of that stuff about the fish. But he/she/it did have a few answers:
