I love this sign!
When I was traveling through the city of Beppu in Kyushu, Japan back in 1992, I saw this small sign hung up in an alley.
When I first saw it, I thought it meant that if you pee here small dogs will come and stare at you. I am happy to report that that was not the case.
Actually, I believe it says: "Don't pee here. It's For the dogs."
It's strange that they actually need a sign here that says that. As well, from the smell of things, this sign is not working.
Also interesting is the fact the little Japanese kid looks a lot like a foreigner... what with the large round eyes and the backward sitting baseball cap that makes him look cooler than the usual Japanese kid who wears it so that the brim actually blocks out the sun from getting in the eyes. The only way I figure it is a Japanese kid is that the cartoon kid has on really horrible shoes.
Cheers,
Andrew Joseph
